It may take a few days before you feel completely better after having wisdom teeth surgery in Lahore. You are likely to have pain and discomfort after the procedure. It is usually worse for the first couple of days. You can take over-the-counter pain relievers and our dentist may suggest that you take certain medications to reduce the pain.
In addition to the pain, you may also experience swelling and stiffness in your jaw for a few days. This can make it difficult to open your mouth. Using an ice pack wrapped in a towel can help reduce swelling.
Keep the wound clean
Rinsing your mouth will keep the wound clean and help you heal faster. Do this very gently for the first 24 hours. If you rinse too thoroughly, the blood clots that have developed on the wound can move around, which can cause bleeding. Rinse yourself after eating with an antimicrobial mouthwash or salt water. This will help you remove the pieces of food.
Brush your teeth as usual, and as best you can, gradually getting closer to the sore from day to day. After three or four days, you should be able to gently remove any dissolved stitches that you may have had.
If your wound begins to bleed after the procedure, you can bite a piece of cloth (bandage) or a tissue for 5 minutes to stop it. Do not eat food that is too hot or too cold if your wound is bleeding, as this will cause it to bleed even more.
Eat and drink
You should not eat or drink at all for the first few hours after the operation. Then, for the first few days, limit yourself to soft or liquid foods. You can gradually return to your regular diet, but to start, try not to chew on the areas in your mouth that are starting to heal.
